Salad - Diminished Clothes - The Word 1994

The magic of this video was the fact it was totally live. 1994 was 29 years ago, almost a generation away. The Word had a reputation for exciting band performances on a Friday night.  Bjork - with The Sugarcubes was another electric performance.  I remember watching this live, and then I bought the vinyl single. If I remember correctly, the undoing of The Word was one performance when a female band were either partially naked or stripped down during the performance.

This wouldn't cause a problem today because it is just accepted as normal behaviour.  For 1994 this was a little too spicey for people.

The Word was one of the best shows for seeing live music.

The Hinge - 'The Village Postman' (1968)

This song is about a Postman who is nearly sixty and is getting ready to retire on a cold, dark spring morning. If you are having sleep issues, try singing along... This song from 1968 is worth a listen, perhaps a re-release? These songs are a product of that era when life was better than today. In 1968, we still had the GPO General Post Office that provided all British communications, perhaps not so technically superior, but faster and cheaper than in 2023.

This nostalgic song was released in 1968; I was two years old, but I remember a few vague things. The point about music is it takes you on a journey when you hear a tune. It takes you back to a place you have never been but seen through rose-tinted spectacles, an imaginary utopia that never was.

The past and the future meet via the present day.

First Post A Brief Description

My first post will attempt to be interesting, describing the little, tragic aspects of existence like my health, weather and other things like music, politics and Christianity.

My bang-in-the-middle Centrism looks like the bullseye in the middle of a dart board.

My Christian views are as shown in The Holy Bible.

My Musical interest is everything from the greatest to the not-so-great works.

My health isn't good with my Liver and Spleen and all its knock-on effects.

The weather in Northern Scotland, around 10 miles from the north coast, is a chilly miserable day showing just 4 degrees Celsius. This time of year could be described as tropical, but only in my head.

This type of content will see depending on how creative I believe I can be.  I'm more of a thinker than a writer. I think I can write, just not very good at it.

MARINA on the power of pop, tackling female shame and the politics behin...

This is very interesting and honest.
